Adding a customer
Add a Microsoft 365 tenant to your workspace by domain or tenant ID. Nothing is requested from the tenant until you send an onboarding link.

Before you start
- Any verified domain of the tenant (for example
contoso.comorcontoso.onmicrosoft.com) or its tenant ID. - A free customer slot. Check Settings › Plan & usage › Active customers.
Steps
In the sidebar, select Customers, then Add customer. (You can also use Add customer on the Dashboard.)
In Domain or tenant ID, enter a domain such as
contoso.comor the tenant ID (a GUID).Optionally enter a Display name: how this customer appears in your portal and reports.
Select Add customer. You see “Customer added” and the customer page opens.
What happens behind the scenes
- We look up the tenant ID from Microsoft’s public sign-in metadata for that domain. Nothing is sent to the customer and no access is granted yet.
- The customer gets its own isolated storage container for assessment results.
- The customer starts with status Consent pending and counts toward your customer limit.
Tip
IT teams: add your own tenant as your one customer, then approve the onboarding link yourself if you are a Global Administrator.
What happens next
On the customer page, choose the modules to assess and send the onboarding link: Onboarding a customer with the setup wizard.
Troubleshooting
“Customer limit reached”
Your plan's customer limit is used up. Offboard a customer you no longer manage (Offboarding a customer) or move to a larger plan (Changing plans).
“Already a customer”
This Microsoft 365 tenant is already in your customer list. Search the Customers page for it.
“We couldn't find that tenant”
Check the spelling, try the tenant's .onmicrosoft.com domain, or use its tenant ID. Tenants in US Government or other national clouds are not supported.
“Not allowed”
Only organization admins can add customers. Ask an Admin or Owner (Roles explained).
