Re-granting consent after permission changes
When a module gains a permission, consent was revoked, or a module shows Consent failed, send the customer a fresh link to approve again.
- Who can do this
- Admin or Owner
- Plan
- All plans
- Time
- 2 minutes
When you need it
- We announce that a module requests a new read-only permission (new checks need it).
- The customer removed and re-added an app, or revoked consent.
- A module shows Consent failed, or a report section was skipped with “re-grant admin consent”.
Steps
Open the customer and select Re-grant consent in the page header (shown for active customers). The Re-grant admin consent card opens; the button now reads Hide consent.
Select Generate consent link. For modular customers the link is labelled Onboarding link (re-runs consent for every enabled module).
Select Copy link and send it to the customer's Global Administrator. In the wizard they select Grant again on each module and Accept at Microsoft.
Tip
Only one module affected? Select Onboarding link on that module's row in the Modules card instead: the link covers just that module.
What happens next
The next assessment uses the updated consent. Sections that were skipped for a missing permission come back automatically.
Troubleshooting
Legacy customers
For customers still on the original Collector app, the same button generates an admin consent link for that app. It is valid for 30 minutes, so send it when the administrator is ready.
