Quick start: your first assessment
Sign in, add a tenant, get it approved and run your first read-only assessment, usually in well under an hour.

- Plan
- All plans
- Time
- About 15 minutes of your time
Before you start
- A Microsoft work or school account.
- The customer's domain (for example contoso.com) or its tenant ID.
- A Global Administrator of that tenant who can approve access (this can be you).
Steps
Go to
app.m365assessments.comand select Sign in with Microsoft. Your workspace is created on your first sign-in.In the sidebar, select Customers, then Add customer. Enter the domain or tenant ID and select Add customer.
On the customer page, select Choose modules. Keep the read-only modules you need (Core is required) and select Generate onboarding link.
Select Copy link and send it to the tenant's Global Administrator, or select Open if you are that administrator.
The administrator selects Grant consent for each module and Accept at Microsoft, then Sign in to assign roles and Assign roles now. What the administrator sees.
Back on the customer page, the status turns Active. Select Run assessment.
When the run shows Completed, open it and select Open report.
Tip
Small tenants finish in minutes. You can leave the page while the assessment runs; the run page updates automatically every 10 seconds.
What happens next
Set up a recurring schedule so the tenant is re-assessed automatically, and invite your teammates.
